The Master’s Programme in Adult Education is recognized for merit-based recruitment and promotion in the Greek public sector and provides students with the knowledge and skills required for teaching adults. Graduates of the programme are eligible to participate in the Hellenic National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) certification examinations in order to be included in the Registry of Adult Educators.
The programme is recognized by DOATAP as equivalent to the corresponding Master’s degree awarded by Greek Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

The Master’s Programme in Adult Education aims to provide a comprehensive theoretical, pedagogical, and practical foundation that addresses the contemporary requirements of adult education and lifelong learning at both local and international levels. The programme focuses on the development of specialized knowledge and skills that enable education professionals to effectively design, implement, and evaluate educational activities for adult learners.
Taking into consideration the increasing complexity of the role of the adult educator, as well as the diverse learning environments in which adults participate – formal, non-formal, and informal education – the programme approaches learning through contemporary theories, pedagogical practices, and innovative methodologies. Students deepen their knowledge and skills in the design and evaluation of educational programmes, adult teaching, the use of digital technologies, and the development of learning experiences that respond to the needs of diverse groups of learners.
At the same time, the programme promotes the development of professional, leadership, and research skills, fostering an educational philosophy that recognizes learning as a factor of personal development, social participation, and professional advancement. Upon completion of their studies, graduates acquire the necessary qualifications to pursue careers in educational and training organizations, lifelong learning structures, human resource development institutions, and educational research, while also gaining a strong academic foundation for continuing their studies at doctoral level.

The Master’s Programme in Adult Education is addressed to teachers at all levels of education, adult educators, education and training professionals, as well as professionals working in the fields of human resource development, lifelong learning, and vocational training. It is an ideal choice for those who wish to enhance their pedagogical, organizational, and research skills and acquire specialized expertise in the continuously evolving field of adult education.
Admission Criteria
To be admitted to the Master’s Programme, applicants are required to hold an undergraduate degree from a higher education institution in Greece (University or Technological Educational Institute) or from a recognized higher education institution abroad (recognized by DOATAP).

Application Submission and Evaluation Process
All the above-mentioned documents must be collected and submitted electronically to the email address info@frederick.ac.cy.
Subsequently, the Programme Committee evaluates the applicant’s file and officially informs the candidate of the outcome of the process by sending a relevant approval or rejection decision regarding the admission application.
In the event of approval of the application, the candidate is informed about the next steps of the procedure and receives all the necessary information for the commencement of their studies.
