The Postgraduate Program “Advanced Health Care” responds to the modern needs of health systems and the growing demand for professionals with specialized knowledge, advanced clinical skills and evidence-based decision-making ability. The program combines knowledge from the fields of Primary Health Care, Community Health, Emergency Care and Social Sciences, promoting an integrated and people-centered approach to the provision of health services.

Through two specialization directions, Community Health Care and Emergency Health Care, the program provides students with the opportunity to develop specialized knowledge and skills that meet the requirements of different fields of professional practice. The educational process combines theoretical training, clinical documentation, research approach and application of modern care practices, enhancing the ability to deal with complex and demanding cases.

Particular emphasis is placed on prevention, health promotion, emergency management, health needs assessment and the development of interventions that contribute to improving the quality of life of individuals, families and communities. At the same time, the program cultivates leadership skills, interdisciplinary collaboration, research and innovation, which are essential for the effective operation of modern health services.

Upon completion of their studies, graduates acquire the necessary skills to assume specialized and responsible roles in health organizations and services, actively contributing to the improvement of the quality of care, the services provided and the health outcomes of the population.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:

  • Apply specialized knowledge to Community or Emergency Health Care, depending on the direction of studies they follow.
  • Assess the health needs of individuals, families and communities and design evidence-based prevention and health promotion interventions.
  • Implement modern protocols and evidence-based care practices in different health service delivery environments.
  • Utilize technological innovations and modern tools to improve the quality and effectiveness of health services.
  • Develop advanced clinical, research, communication and leadership skills.
  • Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams, demonstrating professionalism, responsibility and respect for ethics.
  • Manage complex or urgent cases with safety, efficiency and scientific documentation.
  • Contribute to the planning, organization, evaluation and improvement of health services and programs.
  • Assume coordination and responsibility roles in health service delivery organizations and structures.
  • Contribute to improving the quality of care and promoting positive health outcomes for the population.

The program is aimed at graduates of health sciences and social sciences who wish to acquire specialized knowledge and skills in Community or Emergency Health Care.

The Community Health Care track is aimed at graduates of Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Sciences and other related scientific fields. Previous professional experience in community health, primary care or social services is an additional qualification, without being a prerequisite for admission.

The Emergency Health Care track is aimed at graduates of Nursing, Medicine, Midwifery, Paramedical Sciences and other clinical health sciences. For admission to the track, previous clinical experience in acute care settings is required, so that students can effectively respond to the specialized requirements of the program.

Admission Criteria

For admission to the postgraduate study program, candidates are required to hold a Higher Education degree from a higher education institution in Greece (A.E.I., T.E.I.) or abroad (recognized by DOATAP).

Application Submission and Evaluation Process

All the above supporting documents are collected and sent to the email address info@frederick.ac.cy

Subsequently, the Program Committee evaluates the candidate’s file and officially informs them of the outcome of the procedure, sending a relevant decision approving or rejecting the registration application.

In case of approval of the application, the candidate is informed of the next steps of the procedure and receives all the necessary information for the start of their studies.
