The Postgraduate Program “Administration of Health Services and Units” aims to develop specialized executives who can effectively respond to the modern challenges of administration, organization and financing of health services. The program provides a comprehensive framework of knowledge and skills that combines the principles of administration, health economics, public health and social policy, preparing students for positions of responsibility in organizations and bodies in the health sector.

 

Through an interdisciplinary approach, the program covers a wide range of thematic areas, such as health unit administration, human resource management, financial evaluation and financing of health services, quality assurance, epidemiology, sociology of health, risk management and strategic planning. At the same time, it cultivates analytical, organizational and leadership skills that are necessary for making informed decisions in a complex and constantly evolving environment.

Particular emphasis is placed on understanding the functioning of modern health systems, on the design and evaluation of health policies, on sustainable resource management and on the development of effective services that meet the needs of citizens. Through the use of modern administration and management tools, students acquire the knowledge and skills required to improve the efficiency, quality and accessibility of health services.

The structure of the program combines theoretical training, applied knowledge and analysis of real management issues in the field of health. Upon completion of their studies, graduates are able to contribute substantially to the design, organization, management and evaluation of health organizations and services, supporting the development of effective and sustainable health systems.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:

  • Understand the basic principles of administration, organization and financial management of health services and units.
  • Evaluate the modern environment of health organizations and recognize the challenges and opportunities that arise.
  • Apply modern management strategies and management tools to improve the efficiency and quality of health services.
  • Develop strategic planning, decision-making and human resource management skills.
  • Assess risks and contribute to the formulation of policies and procedures that enhance the smooth operation of health organizations.
  • Utilize modern developments, best practices and the institutional framework governing the health sector.

The program is aimed at professionals and graduates of health sciences, administration, economics and other related scientific fields who wish to develop specialized knowledge and skills in the management of health services and organizations.

It is an ideal choice for executives in the public and private health sector, professionals who seek to assume positions of increased responsibility, as well as for those who wish to strengthen their administrative and leadership skills and contribute substantially to the planning, organization and improvement of health services.

Admission Criteria

For admission to the postgraduate study program, candidates are required to hold a Higher Education degree from a higher education institution in Greece (A.E.I., T.E.I.) or abroad (recognized by DOATAP).

All the above supporting documents are collected and sent to the email address info@frederick.ac.cy

Subsequently, the Program Committee evaluates the candidate’s file and officially informs them of the result of the procedure, sending a relevant decision approving or rejecting the registration application.

In case of approval of the application, the candidate is informed of the next steps of the procedure and receives all the necessary information for the start of their studies.
